 Fisheries Development
Fisheries are the life blood of many communities worldwide. At the same
time many of the world fisheries have reached, or exceeded, their maximum
sustainable harvest.
IEC INTERNATIONAL works directly
within the fishing industry, in areas of facilitation, conflict resolution, and including the analysis and development of:
new, underutilized and existing fisheries; new gear technology to maximize
quality, reduce cost, reduce bycatch and improve sustainability of
specific fisheries; and, optimal fish utilization through quality control,
processing, product development and marketing. IEC has successfully
completed projects involving 30 wild harvest species.
